Mahindra Bolero Bold Edition Launched: Check Price, Features

Bolero Bold Edition

Mahindra has added some fresh appeal to two of its popular SUVs — Bolero and Bolero Neo — through special Bold Editions. While the mechanicals of Bolero Bold Edition remain unchanged, both vehicles now carry visual updates inside and out. Think of this as Mahindra adding a bit of style without touching the heart of what makes these SUVs so durable and dependable, especially in small towns and rural markets where they continue to be favourites.

Let’s break down the changes, beginning with each model separately.

What’s Different in the Bolero Bold Edition?

The Bolero Bold Edition builds on the rugged base of the regular Bolero by adding a few style elements to freshen things up.

Bolero Bold Edition Exterior Changes

Dark chrome accents on the front grille, above the headlights, door handles, and even the rear ‘ventilator’ help give the Bolero a darker, more premium look.

Black fog lamp surrounds and a Bold Edition badge are also added for a touch of distinction.

The front bumper gets a sporty black finish which subtly enhances the vehicle’s aggressive stance.

Bolero Bold Edition Interior Changes

The cabin now features black and beige seat upholstery, which feels a bit more premium than the usual setup.

Other updates include new door sill plates and customised floor mats, aimed more at visual refresh than functional upgrades.

Available Variants

The Bold Edition can be added to the Bolero B4, B6, and B6 OPT variants. It’s a dealer-level accessory pack that costs about ₹20,500.

TradeBHP’s take: For buyers in semi-urban and rural areas who value reliability but want a bit more flair, the Bold Edition does just enough without overcomplicating the formula.

What’s Included in the Bolero Neo Bold Edition?

While the Bolero Neo Bold Edition also focuses on cosmetic updates, it gets a few more features compared to the standard Neo — especially for urban users who might appreciate small creature comforts.

Bolero Neo Bold Edition Exterior Changes

The Neo Bold Edition is available in a Napoli Black paint scheme and gets dark chrome highlights on the front grille, above the headlights, and on the door handles.

The SUV also receives blacked-out roof rails, fog lamp surrounds, and body cladding around the wheel arches and doors, enhancing its urban SUV character.

Bolero Neo Bold Edition Interior Changes

A full black interior theme, including black seat upholstery and steering wrap, makes the cabin feel more cohesive.

It also includes neck cushions and floor mats, providing a bit of added comfort.

Notably, it gets a rear-view camera, which the standard Neo doesn’t offer—handy for tight parking spaces.

Available Variants

Offered with the N10 and N10(O) variants, the Bold Edition pack for the Neo costs about ₹40,000.

TradeBHP’s take: If you’re considering the Neo for city use but want a bit more practicality and style without stepping into more expensive SUVs, this edition bridges that gap nicely.

Engine & Performance: No Surprises Here

Neither the Bolero nor the Bolero Neo gets any mechanical changes with the Bold Edition. That’s not a downside, though — these engines have already proven their reliability over years of real-world usage.

Bolero uses a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder mHawk75 diesel engine, producing 75 bhp and 210 Nm of torque. It’s rear-wheel driven and gets a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Bolero Neo gets a slightly more powerful 1.5-litre mHawk100 diesel engine, putting out 100 bhp and 260 Nm of torque, also paired with a 5-speed manual.

Both SUVs keep their ladder-frame construction and tough suspension setups, key reasons they continue to appeal in rough road conditions.

Price Breakdown of Mahindra Bolero Bold Edition

Here’s a quick look at the variant-wise pricing (ex-showroom):

Bolero Bold Edition:

  • B4 – ₹10.02 lakh
  • B6 – ₹10.21 lakh
  • B6 OPT – ₹11.14 lakh

(Plus ₹20,500 for the Bold Edition pack)

Bolero Neo Bold Edition:

  • N10 – ₹11.90 lakh
  • N10 (O) – ₹12.58 lakh

(Plus ₹40,000 for the Bold Edition pack)

While the pricing for the add-on accessories is on the higher side, it’s in line with what many buyers expect for these kinds of visual updates.

Why Mahindra Launched the Bolero Bold Edition?

Sales of the Bolero and Bolero Neo have seen a slight dip in recent months. Mahindra sold 8,360 units in April 2025, down from 9,537 units in April 2024. The Bold Editions may be a way to attract buyers looking for something a little fresher without compromising on dependability.

This isn’t about reinventing the wheel — it’s a strategic update to keep long-standing models relevant in a market where style increasingly matters, even in rural or budget-focused segments.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve always liked the Bolero or Bolero Neo for their toughness, space, and reliability, the Bold Editions won’t change that — and that’s kind of the point. They simply add a bit more polish to the familiar rugged formula. For new buyers, these editions offer a small sense of premium-ness without the price or complexity of jumping into an all-new platform.

So whether you’re navigating city streets or rural backroads, the Bold Edition gives you the same dependable drive — with a little more style along the way.
